Here on Oahu, the most common telephone call I get is, “My car is gone! Did you take it? Do you know where it is?” The inevitable answer is always “No, I did not take it, and no, I don’t know where it is. However, the police would know where it is.” 99% of the time, the car was likely to have been towed because it was illegally parked. If you find yourself with your car missing, give 911 a ring, and tell them you want to report your missing car. They’ll forward your call to the police, and be ready to give them your (Hawaii or other state) license plate, make, model, and color. Be ready with a pen and paper to write down the location of the tow yard your vehicle was towed to. If the vehicle was illegally parked in Honolulu, it’s likely that it’s in one of the Sand Island towing yards. Hope this helps!
